HARRY SCOTT scored an unbeaten 107 as Crazies Hill saw off a determined challenge from Nettlebed on an unpredictable wicket.
Starting cautiously, openers Scott and Magrie made steady progress against the accurate attack of Latter and Bennett.
Magrie had made 10 from 29 when he fell, caught off the bowling of Bennett. Scott, untroubled, was joined by Reiss Simpson and the pair set about building a strong platform before Simpson retired on 38.
The decision appeared to backfire as both Sam Montgomery and Palmer departed for 0 and Cooke was out off one which kept low off Latter for 5. Mike Simpson steadied matters, prodding and pushing while Scott cut and drove his way to his century as Crazies finished on 189-4.
Nettlebed’s early response kept up the run rate but lost Simmons on 4, caught excellently by Cooke running backwards from point off the bowling of Wilson.
Buxton and opener Bennett kept the runs flowing until Bennett, on 28, chopped down on to his stumps off Hanton who followed up, bowling Edwards for a duck off a full length delivery.
Nettlebed had plenty of batting but the match swung towards Crazies as Sam Montgomery bowled the dangerous Vockins for 2. Jackson was stumped by Palmer off S Montgomery and Russell, after swinging his bat, was brilliantly caught one-handed by Wilson at deep mid-wicket.
There was no sign of a Nettlebed tail as Latter attempted to swing the game back towards the visitors before being caught by Scott off Magrie for 28.
The two youngsters Raveden and O Simmonds showed excellent technique but both fell to catches off Magrie leaving Challis stranded on 23 with Simmonds last out splendidly caught by Mike Simpson, giving Crazies a tight 30-run win.
