Batting collapse proves costly

WOODCOTE’S Sunday side lost their 100 per cent record following a disappointing batting collapse against TWYFORD

WOODCOTE’S Sunday side lost their 100 per cent record following a disappointing batting collapse against TWYFORD AND RUSCOMBE.

Having put the visitors in, the home side began with some wayward bowling, giving away 24 wides in the opening overs, before Robertson, Aldridge and Danks slowed the run rate.

Set a target of 181 Woodcote got off to a disastrous start as they lost three wickets having put on just three runs from the first two overs.

Woodcote found this difficult to recover from and wickets tumbled regularly as they were all out for 47 with Hackett taking 5-15 from seven overs for the visitors.
