Both openers fell in similar fashion to catches at point off the bowling of Lee Vockins. Thereafter it was young medium pacer Owen Simmons who starred, taking 3-23 in his eight overs as the home side were bowled out for 109. Sam Arrowsmith remained not out for a composed 27.
Checkendon then captured two early wickets but left-handers Matt Vines and Rob Simmons were in good form.
The big hitting Vines made a rapid 47 before being dismissed while Simmons was undefeated on 25 as Nettlebed completed victory in 20.2 overs with six wickets in hand.
