BADGEMORE PARK’S lady captain Gill Bertram held her captain’s day with a shotgun start for 51 ladies who took part in the individual Stableford competition.
Teams of three were randomly picked and their individual scores added together. The winners were Millie Anderson, Lynne Carter and Janine Glen with 97 points. In second place were Joy Brinsford, Margery Dray and Jeanne Heald with 89 points and third were Sue Cheale, Marion Denby and Hazel Parker with 88 points. Nearest the pin on the sixth was Theresa Dombey, the 13th Millie Anderson, the 15th Wendy Jelden and the 17th Pat Pierson-Massey.
The best score on the par fives was shared by Sylvine Anderson and Marion Denby while Alison Wood won best past captain with a score of 34 points. The scratch prize was won by Millie Anderson with a score of 77 and the putting competition was won by Jeanne Heald.
The successful day raised £607 for the captain’s chosen charity, the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
