MAX BAKER-SMITH hit 51 for Peppard Stoke Row Kites as they recorded a 21st win of the season in an 18-run triumph at home to Sonning.
Peppard crashed to 50-4 at Peppard Common, before Baker-Smith and Will Legg steadied the ship.
A couple more wickets left the Kites on 116-7, but under-15 Sam Kimber and Satheech Elaganathan steered the hosts to 178-8. Legg then took a wicket with the first ball of the Sonning reply and made it 12-2 in his second over. Two quick wickets from Baker-Smith made it 40-4. A useful fifth-wicket stand was ended by Chris Humphreys before Legg added two more wickets to leave Sonning on 111-8.
Jacob Fitton was caught by captain Nutt off of Rich Ashton, and Humphreys ended the innings of 160, trapping James Travers lbw.
