A rapid 112 from John Acland-Hood put CHECKENDON well on the way to a massive total at home to a PEPPARD STOKE ROW MAHARAJAS side in their last match of the season on Sunday.

An even more aggressive 58 not out from Vikas Chib took the score to 243-3 in 35 overs with good support from Sam Arrowsmith.

The visitors’ reply had a nightmare start as two wickets fell in the first over. Matters went from bad to worse as debutant seamer Dill Pazir took 6-16 in four overs.

A big-hitting 37 from Mark Lambert kept up with the run rate but two wickets in five balls from Harry Wickens finished off an innings of 54 all out which only lasted 8.5 overs in total.
