HARPSDEN celebrated its 129th season of cricket on Saturday evening.
The club was celebrating two league victories this season, a win in its six-a-side tournament and were also finalists in the league’s Twenty20 cup competition.
After an unbeaten season for the first team, club captain Christian Whittaker and Horatio Cary shared the batting prize. Cary’s 175 against Hurley in the Twenty20 match was a particular highlight.
The bowling award went to Tom Hancock while the allrounder award was won by Johnny Wright who had a strong season with both bat and ball.
The second team, also unbeaten, handed awards to captain Sasha Burgess for batting while Rod Birkett claimed the bowling prize.
