Rooke’s swing bowling leaves Turville reeling

TED ROOKE took advantage of the conditions suitable to swing bowling last Saturday to take

TED ROOKE took advantage of the conditions suitable to swing bowling last Saturday to take six TURVILLE PARK wickets for GREYS GREEN.

Rooke exploited the conditions to the maximum for the hosts, aided by good catching, as the hosts ran out comfortable winners.

Wickets fell early on and at regular intervals thereafter and only Briffett and Hunt reached double-figures for the visitors, though Greys were happy to see the back of Wade and Beardall cheaply, both to return catches by Rooke, once again, who finished with 6-21 from 10.3 overs.

Skilleter marked his return from injury with two wickets towards the end as Turville were dismissed for 73. In reply Cusden hit 28 and Skilleter 18 as Greys Green eased to victory with loss of just three wickets.
