PEPPARD STOKE ROW U11s ran out winners in their Berkshire League top-of-the-table clash with HENLEY CHEETAHS U11s on Monday of last week.
Henley won the toss and put Peppard Stoke Row into bat where the villagers plundered an impressive 149-2 off the 20 overs.
Openers Teddy Bruun (16) and Owen Ravden (27 retired) set the platform with some aggressive running between the wickets while Peter Evans (17), Joseph Weakley (25) and Charlie Wagstaff (18 not out) kept the momentum going right through to the end of the innings. In reply Henley started well with Matthew Stanley (25 retired) and Max Hanshaw (26 retired) setting a good platform but tight bowling in the middle and end overs saw Henley come up 30 runs short at 119-5. Stanley Hamblin took 2-14.
Meanwhile PEPPARD STOKE ROW U9s are having an impressive season. With two league games left to play they are unbeaten and level top of the Berkshire League Central Division with Henley with whom they had a tie two weeks ago.
