BOWLER Dion Sampson produced another match-winning performance as PEPPARD STOKE ROW secured a 49-run win against Premier Division title rivals WEST READING.
Andy Watts and Wynand Lamprecht looked in fine form after the hosts were asked to bat, sharing an opening stand of 56 before the former was bowled by spinner Adam Davidson.
A brief cameo from Senthil Muniyasamy was halted by the impressive Hafeez Ul Wahab but Lamprecht and Sam Boughton added 58 for the fourth wicket to help steady the hosts’ ship.
With a platform built at 153-4, Peppard Stoke Row were unable to kick on as they may have liked, eventually closing on 188-8.
In reply the hosts made an early breakthrough when Kazam Kamal was stumped down the leg side by Gerry Bacon off the bowling of Roy Hayden.
