WOODCOTE defeated TWYFORD on Sunday by 30 runs in a 35 overs-a-side match.
The home team elected to bat first and lost five wickets in reaching 60 runs, but the innings was revived by a century partnership between skipper, Jonny Aldridge and Mark Pearson, both of whom recorded half centuries.
After tea the Twyford top order batsmen could not handle the pace of Mark Pearson who added to his earlier batting heroics with 4-7 in seven overs.
Twyford also lost five wickets in reaching 60 before, as in the first innings, there was a mini-revival.
The five other bowlers used by Woodcote all returned tidy figures with Ryan Lennard the pick of the bunch with 2-34.
