HURLEY made it three wins on the spin as they ran out 12-run victors away to Division 2 high-fliers GREAT KINGSHILL on Saturday.
Skipper Akhtar won the toss and decided to bat with new recruit Furqan opening with Phil Ridgeway.
Furqan was out in the third over as he hit the ball to short cover. Akhtar joined Ridgeway in a 116-run second wicket stand to lay the foundations of a competitive score.
Three quick wickets fell as Hurley declined from 125-1 to 141-4 after Ridgeway lofted to long off.
Steve Taylor and Varun Sharma decided on a counter with Sharma particularly severe on the young bowlers. He eventually perished in the deep with Mikurenda atoning for an earlier fumble.
