Hurley sides end their league campaigns on losing note

HURLEY ended their Division 2 campaign on a losing note as they went down to PINKNEYS GREEN at Shepherds Lane.

The hosts were bowled out for a disappointing 119 inside 37 overs having been asked to bat first by the visitors who took the field with just seven players.

Visiting players soon arrived as Hurley made a steady start aided by a wild opening over from Ahmed who conceded 10 runs.

Kayani lofted to point with the score on 17 and Ridgeway fell to the finger of umpire Mansell lbw. Both wickets fell to Jags Dhillon as his first five overs conceded just one run.

Skipper Naeem Akhtar and Vikram Bhagwani added 21 before Akhtar was given out lbw.
