THE combined performances of father and son, Steve and Dan Hanton, saw CRAZIES HILL secure a narrow victory against WALTHAM ST LAWRENCE.
Having won the toss and electing to field, Crazies Hill looked to have made a mistake as Nock and Parker got Waltham’s innings off to a great start adding 80 for the first wicket.
Parker, who benefited from being dropped by Searle, was finally out driving at a wider delivery from Noyes and was well caught by Dan Hanton for 49.
With Margrie removing E Davies without scoring and having Gujsar stumped, coupled with Noyes dismissing Nock all in quick succession, Waltham were now 91-4 and the game back in the balance. Hartland joined Simpson and began to rebuild the innings.
With Simpson providing support, Hartland took the attack to the bowlers, adding 49 in only seven overs.
