County all-rounder named as full time coach

PERFORMANCE CRICKET, which was set up in 2006 by Chris Ellison to provide cricket and sports related opportunities in Berkshire and South Oxfordshire, has appointed its first ever full time employee.

County cricketer Matt Rowe has joined as the coaching and development officer and arrives following many years of experience as a coach and development officer for the Cornwall Cricket Board. A talented all-rounder, Crowe currently plays for Cornwall and captained Camborne in the Cornwall Premier League this season.

Rowe is currently working towards his ECB Level 3 award and will play a key role in continuing Performance Cricket’s support and development of local school, college and club cricket in Berkshire, South Oxfordshire and surrounding counties. In addition, he will take the lead with the busy school holiday coaching programmes and one-to-one sessions as well as little crickets and disability cricket activities.

Performance Cricket’s autumn programme schedule begins on October 1 and 3 with their bespoke academies at Shiplake College, Henley and the Forest School, Winnersh.
