BATTING dominated bowling on a decent track at WHITCHURCH on Sunday. Home skipper Lyn Williams made WOODCOTE captain Jonny Aldridge pay for electing to field by helping himself to an undefeated ton as Whitchurch passed the 200 mark in their 35 overs.
Williams received good support from Vaughan and Chapman as the Woodcote bowlers toiled all afternoon in the heat with little reward. Whitchurch ended their innings on 220-3.
In reply Crawford Anderson and Simon Fuller got the Woodcote innings off to a good start. When Fuller was out Ryan Lennard came in to score a stylish half century.
Anderson carried his bat to see his team past the winning post with just three balls of the match remaining.
