TURVILLE PARK fell short of their required target as they hosted BRITWELL SALOME on Sunday.
The visitors elected to bat first, and compiled a very competitive 211 off 44 overs. The innings was anchored by a solid 135 not out from opener D Coates who traded heavily in boundaries. James and Ollie Thornton provided stiff competition, taking half the wickets to fall, and conceding 53 runs from their 18 overs.
With a strong batting line-up, the home team was confident of overhauling the target but the Britwell bowlers had other ideas. With some fine line and length bowling, the Turville batsmen were never able to gain the upper hand.
After a promising start wickets fell at regular intervals and Turville were eventually all out for 138.
