Kidmore End and Henley sides through to semi-finals

KIDMORE END U15s qualified for the Berkshire Youth League County Cup semi-finals by beating THATCHAM TOWN U15s. In their semi-final they will face Sonning U15s.

HENLEY U13s progressed to the semi-final of the Berkshire Cup after beating hosts FALKLAND U13s on Thursday of last week.

Captain McNeill lost the toss and Falkland elected to bat. Henley’s opening bowlers Batchelor (1-7) and West (3-5) bowled good line and length which restricted Falkland to 11-3 from the first six overs.

This set the tone throughout, as the Henley bowlers continued to dominate. Harris-White bowled accurately while Jordan (2-19) was quick and aggressive but it was left arm spinner Stone, returning figures of 3-1 who, along with West, was the pick of the Henley attack.

Chasing just 51 to win from their allotted 20 overs, Henley suffered an early setback when Bradbury (4) was dismissed by an unplayable delivery from the pacy Falkland opening bowler.
