HOSTS Reading Blue Coat ran out winners of their own Twenty20 festival held at their Sonning school on Thursday of last week.
Five other teams, including Shiplake College, competed in the tournament in which more than 2,000 runs were scored and 100 wickets taken.
The host school drew Shiplake College in the first round and an impressive bowling display from the Sonning-based team led to a rapid fall of wickets and Shiplake were bowled out for 78 runs inside 15 overs.
Bowlers 17-year-old Martin Andersson, who has represented Middlesex 2nds, took four wickets for 11 runs and Year 11 Sam Gemmill, from Caversham, took 3-13.
Year 11 Tom Halson batsman scored 46 in a run chase that took just eight overs.
