WOODCOTE suffered a 10 wicket defeat on Sunday at CRAZIES HILL.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bat but lost wickets at regular intervals to accurate bowling by the home side.
Several batsmen started well with some good clean hitting, but each in turn lost their wickets being overadventurous. The exception was Chris Batey who played patiently and was rewarded by being top scorer on the day.
Crazies Hill openers were made to work hard by some tight bowling by Mike Stroker and Keanu Brouard. They created a couple of chances which fielders failed to hold and once they completed their spells Woodcote only had occasional bowlers to bowl and R Simpson took the opportunity to help himself to his maiden 50.
