Ferry’s hat-trick in vain as side lose out to Ibis Mapledurham

PEPPARD STOKE ROW stayed top of the Premier Division following a dominant 111 run win at WOODLEY.

The visitors lost two early wickets as Chris De Verteuill and captain Paddy Hennessy were dismissed cheaply to leave them on 38-2.

Wynand Lamprecht produced some classy strokes before he gloved a Kashif Ali bouncer through to wicketkeeper Suneet Basra.

A crucial fourth wicket stand of 79 between Senthil Muniyasamy and Richard Walker put the visitors in the ascendancy before a useful quickfire 23 from just 17 balls by Matt Hopper secured maximum batting points for the visitors.

In reply Woodley were never in the hunt in the face of some outstanding bowling by Hopper and an array of highly questionable shots.
