Woodcote batting collapse proves costly as hosts ease to victory
ADAM BIRKETT top scored with 75 as hosts HARPSDEN eased to victory against WOODCOTE on Sunday.
Harpsden won the toss and batted first on a slightly damp pitch. Proceedings started badly for the home side as they lost three quick wickets thanks to good opening bowling from Brouard.
Christian Whittaker and Birkett got Harpsden back on track but when Whittaker was bowled, Will Stevens took over scoring 37 to get Harpsden to the 200 mark off their 40 overs.
In reply, Woodcote lost their wickets cheaply with only J Clark providing any resistance.
Henley girls junior Romely Hayward bowled with accuracy taking her first three wickets for Harpsden while the rest of the home bowling attack backed her up well with wickets being spread around. Woodcote eventually finished on 54 all out.
