HENLEY will be confirmed as champions-elect of the Home Counties Premier League Division 1 with one game to spare if they beat Aston Rowant at the picturesque Butts Ground just outside Kingston Blount tomorrow (Saturday).
The win over Slough last weekend has put Henley in the box seat and the Championship is now theirs for the taking.
Mathematically, High Wycombe are still in the mix, but following defeat at Tring last weekend, their challenge is all but over.
Only Slough have a real chance of overhauling Henley and will need Henley to lose at Rowant and in the final game of the season home to Burnham.
Aston Rowant were one of three clubs to gain promotion as a result of the departure of the Hertfordshire clubs at the end of last season.
