Clark piles on runs

WOODCOTE avenged their defeat from earlier in the season on Sunday as they defeated visitors SONNING by 35 runs.

A half-century by Jonny Clark was the highlight of the Woodcote innings though Zaf Akram, Ryan Lennard and Crawford Anderson all weighed in with useful contributions.

When Sonning batted they were only briefly in the hunt for a win and that was when Rehman was at the wicket, but once man-of-the-match Jonny Clark came on to bowl to take four wickets for three runs in four overs, victory was assured.

Jonny Aldridge, Connor Mattimore and Carl Smith gave good support with the ball, while keeper Ryan Lennard claimed four victims.
