DESPITE some early seam movement for TURVILLE PARK’S bowlers, A Elliott set the tone for a high-scoring match with a superb knock of 105.
Some good catching and the probing bowling of Neil Runkell (2—44) helped limit WHITE WALTHAM to 220—6 though and at the halfway stage it felt like all three results were possible.
In reply, Turville recovered from the loss of an early wicket and rebuilt well through Steve Bucknell (29) and Harry Beardall (26) before both fell to the accurate left-arm bowling of G Ellis.
With the platform set, James Moberly (44) and Sam Beardall (76) combined to attack the shorter boundary and in bringing up a century partnership had Turville looking well on course for the win but with only a few remaining, both fell in consecutive overs and the match ended as a tightly contested draw.
