GREYS GREEN ran out winners at home to STOKE ROW on Sunday in the first fixtures between the two clubs for 35 years.
Hoggart (52) and Ahmed (101) compiled a second wicket stand of 164 as the hosts reached 216—4 at tea, Beeton having taken 2—35 and Boughton 1—15.
Fairhead bowled a good opening spell but then, Kimber (24) and Boughton (59) took the score past 50.
Three wickets then fell in quick succession before Ashton joined Boughton in a useful stand of seventy.
However, from a threatening 133—4, Stoke Row found Shafqat (3—25) and Rooke (2—14) too much of a challenge and the last six wickets fell for 30 runs.
