KIDMORE END U13s ran out winners by five runs at HURLEY U13s last Sunday.

Matt Wadsworth shared the new ball with Chris Dawkins for the hosts and they bowled steadily against watchful batsmen.

The first wicket fell with the score on 27 and it was second change Alexander Williams with Dawkins holding a smart catch as Atkinson (15) took one aerial route too many.

Newbold (22) batted well and a couple of run outs and a wicket each for the Graham brothers saw the innings end on 85-5.

Hurley opened up with Pryor hitting a drive through the covers before the home team collapsed to 27-5.

A partnership followed between Raff Bowler and Matt Freed as Hurley moved to 61 before Freed was bowled for 13. The game looked up when Bowler’s (24) heroics were ended, clean bowled.

Despite a valiant attempt by Savage and A Williams, Hurley could not get over the line as they closed on 80-9.
