Defeated

HENLEY narrowly lost out at home to KENSINGTON on Sunday.

HENLEY narrowly lost out at home to KENSINGTON on Sunday.

The hosts were asked to bat first and Sam Ranger (42) and Alex Johnson (54) built a solid platform but the visitors maintained the run rate at four an over. Ferber (54) accelerated the scoring towards the end to give Henley 218 after 40 overs.

Kensington started slowly with tight bowling from Chris Johnson and Ejaz Hussain as Henley found wickets hard to come by.

With a seamer short the hosts were never able to take control and Kensington needed five off the last over to win. With only one wicket left Henley fancied their chances but with two balls to go Kensington scampered home.
