JAMES KNIGHT continued his rich vein of form as he hit 102 for GREYS GREEN who were held to a draw at home by REFRESHERS last Saturday.

Refreshers won the toss and decided to field. Knight and Butler put on 67 for the first wicket in good time.

After Butler departed Knight was joined by Shafqat for the major stand of the innings. Knight continued his fine recent form and was rewarded with his century while Shafqat made 57.

Thereafter Greys Green struggled to score quickly and declared on 210-6 at tea.

Refreshers charged towards the target scoring 90 from the first 12 overs. Batting looked easy to Mohindru as he made his way to 54 before retiring.

At this point the game changed as the hosts began to take wickets and the scoring rate slowed. Ahmed took 5-45 and Shafqat 3-32 but the Refreshers lower order proved suitably stubborn to hold out for a draw at 155-9.

Knight was again in the runs on Sunday as he top scored with 90 to help GREYS GREEN triumph at GORING.

The hosts batted first and put on 142-6 with E Everitt top scoring with 55.

In reply the visitors hit the required runs to win the match, finishing on 146-5.
