CRICKET: The third Berkshire U12 Girls’ Festival saw some great performances from Henley against two teams from Maidenhead and Bray

CRICKET: The third Berkshire U12 Girls’ Festival saw some great performances from Henley against two teams from Maidenhead and Bray and one from Reading.

Henley achieved two wins from three matches which now makes them joint top of the league table.

Bowling highlights included two wickets for Romilly Hayward and one each for Lottie Gudge, Lucy Day and Madeleine Brown.

There were also two great catches from Brown and Day. Batting highlights were a impressive 28 for Hayward and 21 for Brown.

With one more festival to play before play-off places are decided, it is too close to call with the top three teams all a whisker away from qualifying. The fourth tournament takes place on Sunday at Maidenhead and Bray.
