ASHTON AGAR, who played three matches for Henley Cricket Club earlier this season, has been named in the Australia side that takes on England at Trent Bridge today (Wednesday) in the opening match of the Ashes.

Agar, a left arm spinner, played the first three matches of the season for Henley before joining up with the Australia A squad.

Last week the 19-year-old played for Australia against Worcestershire before receiving his first full cap today from Glenn McGrath.

During his short spell at Henley, Agar helped the Brakspear Ground side win all their opening matches of the season in Division 1 of the Home Counties Premier League, taking seven wickets in the process
