JAMES KNIGHT hit 63 runs to help GREYS GREEN overcome visitors MORETON on Sunday.

Moreton won the toss and chose to bat first on Sunday and slumped to 45-6, with Rooke, Ahmed and Shafqat all taking wickets.

Miles and Keat effected a recovery, taking the score on to 108 before Keat was dismissed for 38. With support from Edwards, Miles continued to take the attack to Greys, ending up undefeated at tea on 78 and the Moreton total at 164-8.

Butler and Knight opened briskly for Greys Green, not without alarms as Knight edged a few through the slips but it was Butler who was first to go for 31. Holroyd joined Knight and the new pairing continued the positive approach, doubling the score to 140 before Holroyd was bowled for 43.

Knight and Edwards both fell in quick succession, Knight having already reached his half-century, but Howse and Shafqat saw Greys home without further alarm as the hosts finished on 168-4.
