Peppard fall short of target

Twinworth won the toss and elected to bat first and the opening partnership put on 73 before Saddler took two wickets. Irving scored 41 while some hard hitting by Hughes saw him go in at tea on 61 not out as Twinworth reached 243-6 off their 40 overs.

Peppard set about scoring at four runs an over with Leach and Chard junior getting the hosts off to a good start. Muniyasamy made 47 in quick time but wickets fell and at the end Tim Vines was left on 47 not out as Peppard reached 210-9.
