A HASTILY arranged match after the withdrawal of their original opponents saw WOODCOTE fall to defeat at CROWMARSH on Sunday.
The home side were never in trouble against Woodcote’s bowling and a century opening partnership between McGuinness and Cheeter set them on the way to a high total.
When Crowmarsh batted, Woodcote never looked capable of approaching the home side’s total and wickets fell regularly to the accurate Crowmarsh bowling.
Simon Fuller was Woodcote’s highest scorer and there was a late flurry of runs from the tail-end, but by that time it was too late, Crowmarsh finishing winners by 106 runs.
