HARPSDEN ran out 148-run winners against MARLOW PARK.

Harpsden’s father and son opening pair didn’t last long, with G Seccombe and S Imlay rebuilding the innings. Both batting well, S Imlay fell for 33 and G Seccombe making 21.

Captain W Stevens anchored the innings and retired on 51 while T Hancock batted well making 26 and A Birkett had a return to form with 50 not out.

B Bradish finished the innings with three sixes to give Harpsden a competitive 235.

Marlow Park began their innings well, scoring at the required rate for the first few overs, until both openers departed in consecutive overs. S Turner batted well with W Hellyar, until M Haywood and R Birkett bowled tightly forcing an error from both batsmen. Marlow Park were eventually bowled out for 87.
