BATTING first in a 35 over match at home to CROWMARSH on Sunday, CHECKENDON recovered from 23-3 to reach 183 all out thanks to late order contributions from Luke Gray, Sam Arrowsmith and John Green. Opening bowler J Fanstone took 3-18 for Crowmarsh.

The visitors started well in reply and were at one point 143-1 with E Ethen hitting 85.

Checkendon came back strongly as a result of a fine spell of medium pace from Vikas Chib but Crowmarsh finally reached their target with just two balls to spare.
