GREYS GREEN eased to a comfortable victory at home to WEST WYCOMBE on Saturday in a match that saw opener G Butler hit a century.
The hosts, batting first, saw the openers put on 56 before Hoggart fell for 17 but then, along with Holroyd, Butler advanced the score to 160, which allowed Greys to go for quick runs before tea.
This was done to good effect, with cameos from Skilleter and Shafqat, and with Butler remaining undefeated on 102, Greys Green reached 235-3 at the interval.
A difficult task for West Wycombe was made more so with the fall of quick wickets from the start and only Jones stayed long enough to provide resistance in the face of testing spells from the Greys attack. Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers with Shafqat and Rooke not far behind. Supported by good fielding, a fine catch from Dawkins helped Greys Green dismiss their visitors for 76.
