ZAC JONES top scored with 79 runs as HARPSDEN held out for a draw against CONCORDE on Sunday.

Concorde won the toss and elected to bat first and reached 100-2 off 22 overs thanks to D Wrightson and A Marshall.

The dismissal of these two started a mini collapse as Concorde lost another three wickets for just 30 runs thanks to tight middle overs bowling from Rod Birkett and Johnny Wright.

The visitors then accelerated in the final overs with A Cudworth hitting some lusty blows which meant Concorde finished on 206 off their 44 overs.

In reply Harpsden started very well reaching 111 without loss off 20 overs thanks to fine batting from Jones and Horatio Cary. Harpsden then started to lose wickets with only Tom Hancock spending time at the crease. Jerry Wright started the collapse with a good bowling display which meant Harpsden finished on 187 off their 41 overs, 19 short of victory as the match ended in a draw.
