HARPSDEN lost out at home to TAPLOW on Sunday in a match played in blustery conditions.

The hosts were put into bat first. Sasha Burgess (55) and Toby Stevens (50) put on 98 for the first wicket before both fell to the wily off spin of Khan. Adam Birkett hammered a quick fire 42 not out enabling Harpsden to close their innings at 210-9. In reply Puishford hit 51 for Taplow before being trapped lbw by Ian Whittaker whilst Stag went on to make 50.

A sharp opening spell of in swinging seam bowling from Christian Whittaker, 2-28 off eight overs, kept the run rate down but some big hitting from Heaton and Street enabled Taplow to edge home, with one over to spare, by five wickets.
