Despite being restricted to tight bowling in the early stages opener Ian Richards finished with 105 and shared a stand of 125 for the second wicket with Henry Chapman who made 56 as the visitors reached 236—4 in their 40 overs.

Alex Kukstas with 1—11 in six overs and Adi Tripathi (4—17) were Checkendon’s best bowlers.

Manpreet Singh again gave the home side a good start to their reply, hitting 76, which was followed by an aggressive 60 from Sandeep Hegde.

Chapman returned to the fray for the visiting side by taking a hat—trick in the penultimate over leaving Checkendon 17 runs behind at the finish.
