Henley Lionesses have the edge on home soil

HENLEY CC won the Gold Group at the Berkshire Youth Cricket League’s U12 girls’ finals day

HENLEY CC won the Gold Group at the Berkshire Youth Cricket League’s U12 girls’ finals day on Tuesday â?? but only just.

The host club, they were one of three teams to win two matches, so the placings were decided on the number of runs and wickets each side lost.

Henley Lionesses finished on top with 777 runs and 10 wickets, followed by West Ilsley with 751-11 and Pangbourne and Whitchurch with 733-11.

Fourth place went to Wargrave.

The Silver Group was won by Maidenhead and Bray, who won all of their three games played on the day.



They clinched the title in the last over of their final match with Binfield.

Binfield were runners-up, followed by Henley Tigresses and Henley Wildcats.

Maidenhead and Bray were completing a double, as the club were also winners of the U15 girls’ title with Henley runners-up.
