THE annual Roger Choules memorial match resulted in a resounding win for HIGHMOOR. Asked to bat SONNING COMMON made a disastrous start as Dave Stephens took three quick wickets.
A fluent 90 by L Gallimore ably supported by V Sheeham (30) repaired the innings. The introduction of skipper Ian Harris made short work of the lower order taking 5-31 with three stumpings as Sonning Common were all out for 134.
In reply Highmoor lost Shamil for 12 after early tight bowling by Foster and Tidwell. Luke Wells joined Rizmy and with sensible batting and lusty blows took Highmoor to victory by nine wickets in the 32nd over with both players recording half centuries.
