Housego returns to his roots

FORMER Oratory student Dan Housego has been appointed as the school’s cricket professional.

FORMER Oratory student Dan Housego has been appointed as the school’s cricket professional.

Housego, who was a pupil at the school from 2002 to 2007, went on to play professional cricket for Middlesex and Gloucester and has now moved across to coaching and is highly regarded in the cricketing world.

England director of cricket Andrew Strauss has described Housego as “having an excellent grasp of the game of cricket and also has the ideal temperament to become a first class cricket coach”.

Housego will be running cricket nets in the Sports Centre on a Thursday evening and will support the coaching of cricket during games in the summer term. He will also be available for private coaching. For more details contact enquiries@oratory.co.uk
