HENLEY U15s ran out 48-run winners in their first Berkshrie Youth League match of the season at PANGBOURNE AND WHITCHURCH U15s on Sunday.
Captain Romilly Hayward won the toss and elected to bowl, opening with an impressive 1-1. Every girl then bowled at least one over against the Pangbourne and Whitchurch side with a further seven wickets shared equally amongst the Henley bowlers. Pangbourne and Whitchurch finished their innings on 74-8.
Mia Rogers and Nick Lee opened the batting with Rogers dispatching the first ball for six and just 12 balls later she was retiring at 30. Nick Lee followed suit with some impressive shots. Henley opted to retire the girls early to give all 11 players a chance to bat with the visitors finishing their innings on 122-3.
