Mayo and Lovatt in fine form for Stonor

STONOR drew their home match with TWYFORD AND RUSCOMBE last Sunday.

STONOR drew their home match with TWYFORD AND RUSCOMBE last Sunday.

The hosts were put into bat and started well with Mayo and Williams using the faster pitch and huge boundary. Maidlow was caught at slip for one. Lovatt came to the crease and set about building his innings supported by Powell before declaring just before tea on 188-3.

Twyford in reply started well with Teal making some lusty blows and scattering the fielders before a tricky in-swinging Yorker caught him off guard.

Woodman proceeded strongly and was supported by Singh before wickets started to fall for Powell and Cripps who bowled tidily and effectively to keep the visitors restricted.

Alden-Court was employed to conjur up some magic but even he was not able to remove the last two wickets and Twyford finished on 123-8.
