Visitors frustrated

FOR the third time last weekend HURLEY sides were frustrated by the weather as their game

FOR the third time last weekend HURLEY sides were frustrated by the weather as their game at NETTLEBED on Sunday had to be abandoned.

Having been put into bat Hurley struggled early on with both openers out before the scoreboard had reached double figures.

Ross Brown flattered to deceive with a couple of good strokes before trying to work Butler to mid wicket and losing his middle peg.

Phil Ridgeway led a recovery, firstly adding 37 with Yasir Gul who was well caught a gully and a partnership of 22 with Amir Ali.

The score had reached 89-5 after 23 overs when the rain returned in earnest forcing the players off for an early tea and eventual abandonment.
