PEPPARD STOKE ROW KITES returned to winning ways with a dramatic four-run victory at home to BRAYWOOD on Sunday.

Teenagers Will Legg and Max Baker-Smith were again the catalysts for the hosts to rack up a formidable score, the Kites reaching 230-4 from their 35 overs on another good track.

In reply U13 Joseph Weakley took two wickets in his first over to put Braywood on the back foot, while Ruaridh Scott bowled tidily from the other end during an economical spell.

Josh Perkins, aided by a one-handed slip catch by Will Legg, Chris Proudfoot and Gary Legg kept the pressure on and when Braywood slipped to 123-6, it appeared the Kites were on top.

Rob McDermott struck a couple of lusty blows before Azam Raza and Nikhil Jathavedan combined to send the game to a tense conclusion.
