IN a 40-over friendly at FULMER on Sunday, CHECKENDON put in a fine team performance, dismissing the home side for 135.

Surya Poodipeddi returned to open the attack, taking 3-12, and there were two wickets apiece for accurate medium pacer Adi Tripathi as well as spinners Jim Warren and Harry Wickens. Sandeep Hegde also took three catches in the outfield.

The visitors needed just 31.3 overs to overtake this score thanks to Warren’s half-century which featured numerous powerful drives and a restrained 43 not out from skipper Manpreet Singh.
