A drug dealer from Slough has been jailed for two years and ten months after police caught him with a stash of cocaine worth £1,520.

Haneef Sheraz, of Greystoke Road, was handed the sentence at Reading Crown Court on Saturday, January 17.

The 21-year-old had earlier pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply the class A drug cocaine.

Sheraz was caught red-handed with a haul of 20 bags of cocaine when he was searched by Thames Valley Police officers in Parlaunt Road in Langley at 3.50pm on August 1, 2024. He was arrested on the same day and charged the following day.

The force said the street value of the drugs was £1,520.

Investigating officer PC Tom Hughes-Parry, of the Slough Proactive Team, said: “I am glad our officers proactively stopped Sheraz and got an offender off our streets.

“We will continue to proactively target those responsible in drug dealing, via both visible patrols and covert tactics, aimed at disrupting and pursuing offenders.

“Our message is clear: We know who you are and we will use both overt and covert tactics to disrupt your drug dealing and arrest you.

“The public also play an important role in providing information to us so we can take drugs off our streets in Slough.

“If you have any information about drug dealing in your area, we would encourage you to report it to us by calling 101 or via the online reporting on our website.”
