Chimp off old block

HUMAN beings aren’t terribly different from their nearest living relatives, according to the new vicar of Goring.

Before he joined the clergy, Rev Ben Phillips completed an undergraduate degree in physical anthropology at King’s College, Cambridge.

The discipline, also known as biological anthropology, examines various aspects of human and primate behaviour, including those of early man and the evolutionary links between the species.

Rev Phillips quips: “I guess spending several years studying monkeys and apes is good training for working with people!”
